【摘要】:Thisguideissignificantinthatitaddressesthedataandinformationoptionsofeachcomponentoftheecologicalriskassessmentprocess,forbothascreeningandcomplexERA.Itoutlinesthedataandinformationoptionswhilerecognizingthatanecologicalriskassessmentmaybefocusedtoachieveaparticularstatedgoal.ThisguideisnotintendedtorepresenttheviewsoftheU.S.EnvironmentalProtectionAgency(USEPA),oranyotherregulatoryagency,ondatacollectionforecologicalriskassessment.Thisguideistobeusedbymanagers,scientists,andtechnicalstaffofcontractors,industry,governmentagencies,anduniversitiesresponsibleforconductingecologicalriskassessmentsatcontaminatedsites.Itistobeusedtoguidedatacollectionphasesoftheecologicalriskassessment.Itwillassistinthedevelopmentoftheconceptualsitemodel(seeGuideE1689)andtheidentificationofpotentialassessmentandmeasurementendpoints(seeGuideE1848).WhileitwaswrittentoassistinplanninganERA,thelistalsomaybeusedinthereviewofacompletedERA.1.1Thisguideisintendedtoassistremedialprojectteams,specificallyecologicalriskassessors,inidentifyingdataandinformationoptionsthatmaybeusedtoperformascreeningorcomplexecologicalriskassessment(ERA)atacontaminatedsite.1.2Theidentificationofdataandinformationoptionsforhumanhealthriskassessmentisoutsidethescopeofthisguide.1.3ThisguideisintendedtoprovidealistforidentifyingdataandinformationoptionsanddoesnotrecommendaspecificcourseofactionforERAactivities.1.4Thisguideaddressesdataandinformationoptionsfortheecologicalriskassessment,notverificationorlong-termmonitoringstudies.1.5ThisguidelistsmanyofthecommondataandinformationoptionsforERA,buttheremaybeothersrelevantforanyparticularsite.1.6ThisguideconsidersonecomponentofanERA,thatis,identificationofdataandinformationoptions.OtherASTMguideshavebeendeveloped,forexample,GuidesE1689andE1848,andarebeingdevelopedtocoverothercomponentsoftheriskassessmentprocess.1.7Thisguidedoesnotprovideinformationonhowtoperformanyoftheanalyticalproceduresusedtoperformariskassessmentoncedatacollectionoptionsaredefined.
