【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodcoversthemeasurementofthetransmissionofimpactsoundgeneratedbyastandardtappingmachinethroughfloor-ceilingassembliesandassociatedsupportingstructuresinfieldsituations.1.2Measurementsmaybeconductedonalltypesoffloor-ceilingassemblies,includingthosewithfloating-floororsuspendedceilingelements,orboth,andfloor-ceilingassembliessurfacedwithanytypeoffloor-surfacingorfloor-coveringmaterials.1.3Thistestmethodfurtherprescribes:1.3.1Auniformprocedureforreportingtestdata,thatis,thenormalizedone-thirdoctavebandsoundpressurelevelsgeneratedinthereceivingroombytheoperationofthestandardtappingmachineonthefloor-ceilingassembly.1.3.2Theuseofasingle-figureclassificationrating,"FieldImpactInsulationClass,FIIC"thatcanbeusedbyarchitects,builders,andspecificationandcodeauthoritiesforacousticalevaluationpurposesincompletedbuildings.TheFIICisobtainedbymatchingastandardreferencecontourtotheplottednormalizedone-thirdoctavebandsoundpressurelevelsateachtestfrequencyobtainedinaccordancewiththistestmethod.FordetailsregardingthederivationandsignificanceoftheFIIC,seeClassificationE989.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
