【摘要】:ThisBritishStandardspecifiesrequirementsforthesafeprovisionandassemblyofelectricalpower,dataandtelecommunicationsdistributionsystemsinofficefurnitureandofficescreens.Requirementsarespecifiedforfurnitureforgeneraluseandforfurnitureforusewithspecificequipment,partsofwhichmaybebuiltinduringmanufacture.Appropriatetestsaredescribedfortheinstalledpowerdistributionsysteminthefurniture.Thestandardappliestosingle-phaseelectricalpowerdistributionsystemsoperatingatratedvoltagesupto250Va.c.thatareconnectedtothefixedwiringofthepermanentinstallationofthebuildingbya13AfusedplugandsocketoutletarrangementcomplyingwithBS1363.Thestandardmakesprovisionfortheroutingofcablesthroughthefurniture.Thisstandarddoesnotapplytoelectricalappliancesusedwithorwithinanarticleofofficefurniture,forwhichappropriatestandardsareavailable.Thestandarddoesnotapplytopowerdistributionsystemsthatarepermanentlyconnectedtothebuildinginstallation.
