【摘要】:Boatpolishorwaxaidsincleaningandmaintainingthesurfaceoffiberglassboats.Thefunctionofcleaningisveryimportant.Thispracticedefinesthepropertiestobetested,theapparatustouse,andthecomparisonsofproductperformance.Itisrecognizedthatconsiderablediscretionexistsamongformulatorsandmarketersofboatpolishonwhatpropertiesorperformancecharacteristicsarebestfortheirproducts.Thispracticeisflexibletohonorthisfact.Themethodsoftestingaresubjectiveandempiricalinordertoconformtothebasiccharacteristicsoftheindustryandtoallowflexibilityintesting.Althoughtestpanelsmaybeusedforscreeningpurposes,actualboatsurfacesshouldbeusedforthefinalevaluation.1.1Thispracticecoversthepropertiestotestandtheapparatustousewhenevaluatingtheperformanceofboatpolishesandwaxes,intermsofeaseofapplication,cleaningefficiency,glossandimprovementofaestheticappearance.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
