【摘要】:1.1Theserequirementscoverpoweroutlets,withorwithoutintegralmountingpostsorpedestals,andpoweroutletfittingsforuseinaccordancewiththeNationalElectricalCode,NFPA70.1.2Apoweroutletcoveredbytheserequirements,althoughnotrestrictedtosuchuse,isintendedforuse:a)Atoutdoorlocationssuchasonfarms,atbuildingsites,andthelike,wherepowerisrequiredtooperateportable,mobile,ortemporarilyinstalledequipment,b)Tosupplypowertoamobilehomeorarecreationalvehicle,andc)Tosupplyshorepowertoboats.1.3Apoweroutletmaycontain:a)Attachmentplugreceptacles,b)Circuitbreakers,c)Fuseholders,d)Fusedswitchesandfacilitiesforwatt-hourmeters,ande)Provisionsforfieldinstalledcircuitbreakersorswitchesandfuses.1.4Poweroutletfittingscoveredbytheserequirementsareintendedforfactoryorfieldassemblyintoorinconjunctionwithpoweroutletsdesignedforsuchassembly.Fittingsmaybepanelsorcombinationunitsincorporatingreceptacles,disconnectingmeans,overcurrentprotectionorotherdevicesthathavebeendeterminedtobeequivalent.Aseparablemountingpostorpedestaltowhichpoweroutletsaretobemountedisalsoafitting.1.5Inadditiontoorinsteadofmountingtoapostorpedestalfittingasmentionedin1.4,apoweroutletmaybeconstructedformountingonandconnectiontoamountingpostorpedestalalsodesignedtobeusedwithothertypesofdistributionequipment.1.6Somepoweroutletsmayhavespecialfeaturesandmarkingstoindicatetheiracceptabilityforuseasserviceequipment.1.7Apoweroutletwithamountingpostisintendedformountinginconcrete.Apoweroutletwithamountingpedestalisintendedformountingonaconcreteslab.Unlessmarkedotherwise,amountingpostorpedestalfittingisnotintendedtoserveasthesolesupportofamastforoverheadwiring.
